10 Fun Ideas to do at the Beach

Last weekend, us New Englanders (with the crazy weather) had a perfect weekend where we could actually enjoy some beach time. Even though the lifeguards are officially working, our weather has been so crazy that beach days were just a dream. If you are familiar with New England weather, you know that it can go from 90 to 55 in less than 8 hours. Our weather is so crazy it is actually barely 68 degrees here today, and I am borderline shivering writing this post. Oh how I wish I was at a very warm, and sunny Horseneck Beach enjoying a Caribou Premium Iced Coffee with my toes in the sand.
Did you know that Caribou Premium Iced Coffee is now available at grocery stores nationwide–just in time for iced coffee season? Wait, is there such thing as iced coffee season? Ok, who am I kidding?! I love iced coffee even when it is snowing out..that is how we roll around here! That is also why I am especially happy that Caribou Premium Iced Coffee comes in 3 yummy flavors– Chocolate Mocha, Sea Salt Caramel and Vanilla. It was the perfect beach drink which inspired me to share these fun activities your family can do at the beach.
Here are my 10 Fun Things to do at the Beach:
- Collect Seashells
- People watch
- Enjoy the waves
- Read a book
- Enjoy a great drink like Caribou Premium Iced Coffee
- Build Sand Castles
- Fly a Kite
- Take a Walk by the shoreline
Since this was the first trip of the year, the kids really loved finding some unique shells. The tide was low so they found a few crab shells, sea snail shells, and quahog shells. Beautiful polished sea stones were also abundant and perfect for making designs in the sand or decorating sand castles. Someone made a starfish out of rocks.
The kids enjoyed jumping waves and playing in the water up to their waists. My husband and I stood near the shore enjoying our Caribou Premium Iced Coffee. We kept a close eye on the kids but felt really relaxed with such a tasty drink. We put them in the freezer 30 minutes before we left so they were a little icy which made them so refreshing and extra tasty!
Caribou Premium Iced Coffee will certainly be making its way around with us this summer on our travels because it is much easier to tote around verses chain iced-coffees. I much rather pack my drinks in a chilled cooler than tote around sweaty cups that go warm super quick!
