Green Kids Crafts, Discovery Box Review
Are you looking for some eco-friendly, educational fun for your little ones? If so, you should consider Green Kids Crafts, Discovery Box. This award winning, monthly subscription box service is the perfect combination of fun, and education all wrapped up into one box. We recently had the pleasure of working with this company on a review of their latest box.
A Little about Green Kids Crafts:
Green Kid Crafts is a mom-owned and operated green company that uses safe and sustainable materials to create activity kits that build creativity and confidence while fostering children’s love and respect for the environment. Founded in 2010 in Anchorage, AK, Green Kid Crafts is the originator of earth friendly craft kit subscription programs.
Our Green Kids Crafts, Discovery Box arrived super quick, and ready to engage with. I thought the outside of the box was really cute, and featured a variety of creatures all entwined in a white squiggly vine. It really appealed to both my children, and I. Inside the box, we found 3 individual crafts from different parts of the world, and some literature. Each box is truly like a mini lesson plan, and is perfect for homeschooling parents.
Our Discovery Box #15 was themed Around the World. The three Healthy and Happy Child approved crafts featured Guatemalan Worry Dolls, a Chinese Swallow Kite, and an Australian Art Cave. The box also came with a super neat PassPort that had blank sheets, and stickers for my children to fill out there mini adventures with these crafting projects.
As a blogger, I get many subscriptions boxes in to review, but I admit this is my favorite. The parent and educator in me has me so excited to explore these parts of the world through art with my children. Each little bagged project contains everything you need to make quality crafts. The bets part is, they provide enough supplies for more than one child to join the fun. Since I have 2 kids that are old enough to craft, it is important that the box is ample enough for both girls to enjoy it.
For example, our Australian Cave Painting Kit included plenty of chalk, compressed sponges, earth paint, and recycled paper for each child to make their cave drawings. I was equally impressed with each of the other two kits, and thought they were well worth the mere $19.99 monthly price tag. How cool is it that we also get to learn about, and make worry dolls!?
If you think your child would benefit from Green Kids Crafts, Discovery Box service, you can order your right on their official site. They have plenty of options, and even offer a gift giving program.
