DIY: Rit Dye Simple Coffee Filter Hair Flower
Lately, I have been having a ton of fun with my latest collection of Rit Dye products. I have been focusing on easy little crafting projects using coffee filters until I feel confident enough to move on to bigger projects. So far, using Rit Dye products has been an excellent experience. I really love all their vibrant, easy to use colors.
For my latest project I decided to make a Rit Dye simple coffee filter hair flower. The beauty of working with both Rit Dye, and coffee filters is that there really is no wrong way of doing things. Coffee filters are such an easy material to work with, and dye. I posted a DIY on how to dye coffee filters using Rit Dye that you may be interested in.
I have to admit, I love making my girls their very own unique hair flowers, and pins. It is so much fun, and can get super addicting! For this coffee filter hair flower, you will really only need three coffee filters, an alligator hair clip, scissors, a hot glue gun, Rit dye of your choice, and an embellishment for the middle of your flower.
- Take three dyed coffee filters, and cut them into about 3 1/2″ ovals
- Slightly tuck in, and crinkle your coffee filters, hot glue them into place using a small drop of glue
- You want the flower to have some dimension, but there is really no right or wrong way to fold it
Next, hot glue your embellishment into the middle, and glue your alligator clip onto the back of your flower. There you have it, a very simple hair flower that no one else will have! Of course this could have more layers, or be much more complex, but I am starting out small. I hope you found some inspiration to create your own Rit Dye simple coffee filter hair flower.
