Pirate’s Booty: A Great Alternative to Candy this Halloween
When I was a kid I always looked forward to trick or treating on Halloween night. It was a fun and harmless time to dress up, wear fun makeup and ring other’s doorbells with anticipation that they would graciously give us a treat. I especially loved when I would get a treat that was not candy because I secretly wasn’t much of a candy eater.
Big shock huh?
What kind of kid doesn’t prefer candy?!
Potato chips, pencils, popcorn balls, coins, and tiny trinkets were always greatly appreciated by myself. My mom never really gave us candy so I never really developed a taste for it. That is why I now choose to give away little toys, and healthy snack like Pirate’s Booty to my little trick or treaters. I’m not big on kids eating candy so it makes more sense to provide them with either a small toy or a healthy snack.
Pirate’s Booty makes a wonderful Halloween snack or treat for the kids. It comes in a variety of bag sizes which can accommodate parties, lunch box snacks, and Halloween party sized bowls. My kids LOVE this stuff and so do I! It is a snack that I began to get acquainted with almost 10 years ago when I was eating healthier. I know it has a low Weight Watchers points index, and is perfect substitute for greasy, salty snacks. Plus, it is so light and airy and comes in several yummy flavors!
Reasons why Pirate’s Booty makes an ideal Halloween Treat:
- Less fat and fewer calories than traditional Halloween candy
- No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives
- Gluten-, peanut-, and tree-nut-free
- 0g trans fat
