I know, you are probably wondering if I am nuts for even asking-right?! Well, I guess you could say that I do strangely enjoy cleaning my hardwood floors now that it is no longer a hands and knees occasion. You see when I was growing up hardwood floor cleaning was a cloth and bucket time gig. My mom would fill up a 2 gallon bucket with warm sudsy soap and it was our jobs to scrub the floors.
Ok, so I admit, that was borderline torturous–especially when I wanted to go out and enjoy my weekends. Thankfully, some genius out there invented spray mops that feature microfiber pads that prevent sore knees and backs! Boy am I thankful for cleaning products like my new O-Cedar ProMist. Honestly, it has made my job as a busy mom much easier, and efficient.
With three kids, and a dog there are absolutely no messy floor shortages around here. I find myself vacuuming, sweeping under couches, and mopping up spills way too often. In fact, my previous mop required a special solution that was costing me an arm and a leg each week. Amazingly the O-Cedar ProMist which can be conveniently purchased at Walmart, just takes 2 tablespoons of my choice of solution, and warm water…
That is it!
Done, Bam, whoohoo! I save both time and money thanks to this sleek spray mop, and that my friends means I have more time to bake!! Yup, that is what i do with my spare time. I just love to be in the kitchen so much because nothing makes me happier than cooking or baking up yummy treats. I am so excited to share this Peppermint Brownie hack recipe with you all! It is perfect time saving recipe for the holiday season!
- 1 box of your favorite brownie mix (plus called for ingredients)-I used Pillsbury
- 1 can of your favorite vanilla frosting, again I prefer Pillsbury
- 6 candy canes
- 1/4 teaspoon of pure peppermint extract
Prepare and bake brownies according to the box instructions; allow to fully cool
Add 1/4 teaspoon of pure peppermint extract to your frosting can; mix well
Unwrap candy canes and add them to a zippered bag; using a mallet or hammer crush the candies
Frost brownies using a pipping bag or frosting knife; add crushed candies.
As you can see, this recipe was easy enough for pretty much anyone to follow. Plus, you can totally save time in the kitchen, and on your floors by using the O-Cedar Promist. I mean really, what could be better than saving time in the kitchen, time on cleaning, and saving your money? I know how I will be preparing for guests this holiday season!
