Organic Grilled Chicken Salad & A Great Place for Inexpensive Organic Groceries
“We are official Ambassadors for BJ’s Wholesale Club. All views expressed are that of our own.”
Did you know that BJ’s Wholesale Club is an awesome place to buy organic groceries? That’s right, BJ’s has organic meats, produce, dry goods, and even snacks! Plus, they make it super easy to shop thanks to the color coded labels they put above the groceries that lets you know if they are natural or organic.
I know I try my hardest to buy natural and healthier groceries for my family whenever possible so this made things so much easier! Even the deli case had all the natural meats and cheeses in their own section which made ordering my meats more convenient. Plus, I love that they are sprinkled throughout the store in every isle which allows me to easily compare which foods are the best for my family’s well being.
This past weekend, my family and I made our bi-weekly trip to BJ’s to buy some organic staples that we use the most of. When I really started paying attention to labels, and such buying organic whenever possible was the obvious choice. I prefer to buy most of my organic purchases from BJ’s because they are the most reasonably priced when compared to other stores. At BJ’s I can actually fill my cart with organic groceries for around $100!
I am loving their PERDUE® HARVESTLAND® USDA Organic Chicken Breasts too! We recently picked up a package, and I used it to make a fresh and organic grilled chicken salad. The only addition that was not organic was the homemade croutons which are optional.
Even though the organic PERDUE® HARVESTLAND® Chicken Breasts were more pricier than the more conventional packages, the difference was in the taste! The breasts were much more normal size because they are not injected with steroids. The taste was so fresh, and juicy too which my family loved!

I places about 4 cups of Fresh Express Organic Super Green Mix and 1 head of Foxy Organic Romaine Lettuce (chopped) in my salad spinner after rinsing. Once the salad was spun, we added it to each plate.
We garnished the salad with some washed Sunset Organic Grape Tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, and some homemade croutons. To make these croutons, I chopped day old french bread into small cubes and brushed them with some Wellsley Farms Organic Butter. I then baked them at 350 for 7-8 minutes or until golden brown.
This Organic Grilled Chicken Salad was so good, and a meal that is perfect for summer BBQ’s, meals, and picnics. After I was done eating I felt good about myself because I ate pretty clean with the exception of the croutons.
If you want a great place for relatively inexpensive organic groceries, I really do suggest shopping at BJ’s Wholesale Club! The prices were much cheaper than competitors and the atmosphere is really nice. Plus, BJ’s even filled our 15 gallon propane tank for under $8!!! I love their weighted system and cheap fill up prices! Honestly, they are the cheapest place to fill gas grill tanks–I’ve scoped them all out!
