Do you love to decorate your home with the seasons? I have always enjoyed this task because I truly do love to decorate. I learned at an early age how to make my future house a home because my mom was just so good at it! She crafted wreaths, vases of flowers, and purchased decor at thrift shops to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Back then my mom might have not had much to work with but she made it work and passed her eye for decorating to me. Each year I look forward to the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas because it means tons of warm, and cozy decorative items for each room.
I have always been a fan of fancy tablescapes but never actually implemented one because my kids were super touchy and loved to get into mischief with my decorations. This year, I bit the bullet and headed to Kohl’s to pick up some harvest kitchen decor items that I could use on my table for the harvest season.
If you are familiar with Kohl’s then you already know just how gorgeous and inexpensive their decorative items truly are. Between Kohl’s Cash and discounts I saved over 70% on my purchases for my harvest tablescape.
The only problem I ran into shopping at Kohl’s for harvest table top decorations was that they has so much! I honestly could not get over the tons of placements and tables clothes they had to chose from. I must have driven my husband crazy because I was in the kitchen decor isles for close to an hour trying to piece together the perfect place mats, plates, and decorative accents. They has so many fancy napkins too but with kids, those just do not work yet.

- DIY Harvest Flower Jar Craft: Cream Chalk paint, brush, 3 mason jars, harvest silk bushes
For the DIY Harvest Flower Jars, I simply painted three small mason jars with chalk paint and allowed the to dry. I purchased an assortment of Harvest bushes from the craft store, and clipped them to size and arranged them so that each jar got a mixture of flowers. It was a super easy and cheap craft that is adding the perfect “homey” touch to my tabletop. Plus, the silk flowers can be exchanged for holiday stems and bushes for the winter months.
I came up with two tablescapes which features one with placements and the flower vases, and the other with mini pumpkins, gourds, corn, and the runner. I will alternate between the two until Thanksgiving because I love them equally. Hopefully one day I will be able to feature the napkins and some super cute napkin rings which Kohl’s has TONs of!
Do you love shopping at Kohl’s as much as I do? What does your harvest tablescape look like?
