Irresistible 4-Ingredient 7UP Biscuits

One of my absolute favorite savory breakfast foods happens to be biscuits. I love when they are buttery, slightly crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. It use to be that I would drive almost a hour to a local restaurant to get these biscuits, but now I can confidentially replicate them at home. The most jaw-dropping part of this newly discovered recipe is that they are made with 7UP Soda!
While doing my weekly grocery shopping at Stop & Shop Supermarket, I picked up a 2-liter of 7UP original. Make sure to check out Savory Magazine in the “New Flavors” edition until 3/30th to save $1.00 when you buy two 7UP 2-liters. Savory Magazine is free with your Stop & Shop rewards card. It always has the easiest to make recipes inside, and inspires me to try new dishes. You can also find 7UP at Giant Landover and Giant Carlisle.
We do not drink too much soda in this house, but when we do it is 7UP. It is so versatile and can be mixed into mocktails, cocktails, and included in recipes like these biscuits.
- Biscuit Mix- 4 cups + One cup for flouring work area
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 cup of 7UP Soda
- 1 stick + 1 tablespoon of melted butter
This batch of 7UP Biscuits was so darn delicious. The strange thing is you cannot taste the 7UP in them, but it does some sort of magic and makes these biscuits so fluffy, and irresistible. They are also fairly easy to cut into and make delectable bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwiches.
My kids love the flavor of these biscuits, and they even ate all of them which is rare! Paired with the bacon, egg, and cheese, and you have a restaurant quality sandwich. You can also freeze these 7UP biscuits for later use which I will be doing for my next batch.
