How to Build an Ultimate Appetizer Dipping Station
With Fourth of July right around the corner, I have been planning a menu of appetizers, foods, and drinks to make for my guests. Since some of my friends are a littler more health conscious than others, so I always love to incorporate foods and snacks that everyone can enjoy. That is why I thought it would be fun to share How to Build an Ultimate Appetizer Dipping Station that will surely satisfy your guests.
When I think of summer appetizers, the first thing that comes to mind are veggies platters. I love veggies platters because they are a lighter way to snack. Many times they are filled with the basic carrot and celery sticks, but I wanted to add more fresh, and veggies to my dipping station, plus other crunchy elements that would pair well with the dips.
No dipping station would be complete without some tasty veggie dip. We recently discovered Chobani Meze Dips which can be found at stores like Meijer, Target, and Walmart in the deli section (near the hummus and such). These fresh dips are made with ingredients that contain 80% less fat and 65% fewer calories than the leading hummus. Plus, they are available in four great flavors which include:
- Roasted Red Pepper
- Three Pepper Salsa
- Smoked Onion and Parmesan
- Chili Lime
At Walmart, the other shoppers must have thought I was strange because I literally stood near the Chobani Meze Dips forever trying to just pick up two flavor, for now, to try out. They all sounded so good, and ideas of what to pair them with swirled around in my head. After what seemed like forever, I settled on the Three Pepper Salsa, and Smoked Onion Parmesan flavors.
Man did I want to dig in right away! I was good, though and waited until I gathered only the best dipping mediums to pair with these products. After all, my goal was to create the Ultimate Appetizer Dipping Station.
- Cheddar Cheese Cubes
- Carrot Sticks
- Snap Peas
- Cherry Tomatoes
To create the tray, I used a large serving tray, and some toothpicks, and festive Patriotic elements.
I think it is so important to have a balance of fresh, and crunchy elements when building an appetizer dipping tray. Of course, in this case, the Chobani Meze Dips in Three Pepper Salsa and Smoked Onion and Parmesan are the stars, but I wanted foods that would really bring out their flavors.
