Buffalo Bourbon Chicken Wings Recipe *With Rave Review! Culinary Blended Bourbon™
When it comes to cooking I don’t consider myself to be too overly adventurous. I stick with a lot of tried and true recipes that one could consider to be “safe”. I rarely cook with wines, beer, or spirits because I thought they would be too overwhelming to use. Of course, I have proven myself wrong when my latest foodie review came along from Rave Review! Culinary Spirits. They generously sent me their current collection of culinary spirits to incorporate into a couple of recipes, and I must admit I am loving them!
Jim Lindner, of Restoration Spirits, Inc, a passionate inventor with a restless spirit. He saw that no company had invested the time and effort to design a spirit specifically suited to the unique needs of cuisine. He started with a fresh idea and no preconceived notions and worked with a panel of chefs and food chemists to develop a superb product designed to be fantastic for food. Like Jim’s other work, Rave Review! Original Culinary Spirits were developed with a passion for quality and innovation.
Meet the Products:
- Rave Review! Original Culinary Brandy ™
- Rave Review! Original Culinary Bourbon ™
- Rave Review! Original Culinary Hops ™
- Rave Review! Original Culinary Rum™
First of all, I have to say that Rave Review! has the coolest site! I love the little oven knobs that turn to provide more information on each aspect of the company. I also have to say that I am loving the bottle size, shape, and super convenient spout their product boast. These are some ingredients that I do not mind leaving out on my kitchen counter because they look great!
As far as the products go, I cant say I’ve cooked with all of the spirits yet because I have not. I did however have a chance to use the Rave Review! Original Culinary Bourbon ™ and the Rave Review! Original Culinary Hops ™. Both products were easy to use and produced such delicious flavors when cooked. I am totally not an alcohol connoisseur, but I thought each of these culinary spirits enhanced my meals perfectly! I also love that each bottle is a very generous size for using multiple times.
So now to the good part, check out my delicious recipe for Buffalo Bourbon Chicken Wings:
- 2 lbs of chicken wings or wingettes
- 1/4 cup Rave Review! Original Culinary Bourbon ™
- 1/3 cup of Frank’s Red Hot Ketchup Style Sauce
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, onion powder
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all the ingredients together in a large glass bowl. Once it is thoroughly whisked, divide the mixture in half. Coat chicken wings with one half of the sauce, and reserve the other half for basting the wings during the last 10 minutes.
Line wings on a nonstick foil lined baking sheet. For extra crunchy wings, bake for 75 minutes at 350. Remove wings from oven and baste them with the remainder of the reserved marinade; cook for an additional 15 minutes at 300.
Our Buffalo Bourbon Chicken Wings were so good that everyone was licking their bones clean!! Next time we plan on grilling them since the weather will be nicer! I cannot wait to try my next recipe using Rave Review! Culinary Spirits!
