Chocolate Blueberry Kefir Protein Shake Hack

Building and keeping muscle can be a difficult but rewarding task. Some people I know, spend hours in the gym, up to seven days a week leading up to a bodybuilding competitions. Most guys, myself included, workout 3-4 times per week. I like to keep my workouts to about 45 minutes. Squats, bench-press, bicep curls, pull-ups, and dead-lifts are my main exercises. Choosing exercises that work multiple muscle groups is my strategy. I like to get the most bang for my buck!
Sometimes, I even go for a 3-5 miles bike ride around my neighborhood. I enjoy my scenic, yet sometimes steep, and bumpy terrain. It takes a ton of stamina to get up those hills! That is why I rely on my EAS Myoplex Ready-to-Drink Shakes in Chocolate Fudge. These pre-made drinks boast a whopping 42 grams of protein which fuels my muscles, and keeps me satisfied.

I am pretty partial to the Chocolate Fudge, and typically buy them from my local Walmart store. They are located in the Vitamin and Nutrition isle, and are very reasonably priced.
Back in the day, I would buy those pricey shakes from the gym for like $10 bucks a pop, but now the EAS Myoplex Ready-to-Drink Shakes are my drink of choice. Sometimes, I even like to make protein-rich smoothies with my Myoplex shakes to stretch them out. For my shake hack, I use homemade kefir, frozen or fresh blueberries, and flax seeds. I call it a hack because I don’t have to mess with protein powders, or chocolate since the EAS Myoplex is Chocolate Fudge flavored.
Here is how I make my Chocolate Blueberry Kefir Protein Shake Hack:
- EAS Myoplex Ready-to-Drink Shakes in Chocolate Fudge 250 ml (half of shake) chilled
- 1/4 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
- 1 teaspoon flax seeds
- 1/2 cup kefir
Add each of the above ingredients into the blender, and pulse until smooth (about 3 pulses)
Serve cold and enjoy before a workout or for a nutrient-filled breakfast that will hold you over until lunch!
This shake is so “delish and nutrish” as I like to say! It tastes amazing and is super easy to make in the morning. Trust me, I am half dead and can still manage this task..haha!
