Creating a Natural Spring Beauty Look with Victoria Jackson Cosmetics
“I participated in this sponsored campaign on behalf of Victoria Jackson® and One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own.”
When it comes to makeup, I do indeed have an addiction. I love collecting it, wearing it, and displaying it on my bureau. It looks so pretty in my trunkcases, and just screams girly girl. I currently purchase at least 3-5 new makeup and cosmetic products each month to add to my stash that match the seasons.
As much as I love makeup, more often that not you will find me sans any makeup and just wearing moisturizer. I prefer the natural beauty look so you will never find me rocking loud colors, or looking like a layered cupcake–that is just not my style. Some blush on the apples of my cheeks, a kiss of bronzer, black mascara, and a nude lip is typically my go to look. Sometimes, I toss in a cat eye to enhance my multicolored eyes, but that is not a everyday thing.
I have probably tested out almost every major brand of makeup on the market at some point or other. Having worked adjacent to a beauty counter in the past, and being subscribed to many beauty subscriptions has me in the loop with what brands are worth my money and which ones quite frankly suck. A pretty package sometimes is all makeup is worth, and I was hoping that was not the case with the Victoria Jackson Cosmetics I received this week.
A little about Victoria Jackson Cosmetics:
For over 30 years Victoria Jackson Cosmetics have been helping women to achieve inner confidence through outer beauty. The great thing is, they’ve learned that it doesn’t take much. A dot of foundation here, a subtle pencil stroke there, the light dusting of blush. And you’re ready. Ready for the day. For life. For anything.
This is not a mask. This is make up. And at Victoria Jackson Cosmetics, we believe it’s all about letting your natural beauty shine through.
The above mission statement means a lot to me because all too often I see people caking product all over their face and making themselves look worse off than before. As woman, we shouldn’t try to hide the natural features and beauty we were born with, we should embrace and enhance it with a pop of color, and some shine. That is why Victoria Jackson Cosmetics really resonated with me after I read their product mission.
Meet the products:
The folks at Victoria Jackson Cosmetics allowed us to choose a beauty bundle of our choice. I appreciate that I got to choose my foundation color which happens to be medium. Typically, I never, ever wear foundation. At 30, I feel as if I still have pretty good skin that can get away with just blush and bronzer. However, for review sake, I embraced wearing the Tried & True Foundation Duo “No Makeup” Makeup®.
My bundle also came with some really stunning Here Comes the Sun Bronzing Powder, Perfect Everyday Blush and a tube of Lush Mascara. Each item came in attractive packaging and was ready to use. Being the makeup lover that I am, I immediately headed into my bedroom to create my look. My lip color, and eyeliner featured in a few of the photos is my own. However, Victoria Jackson does sell lip products which I’d love to try in the future.
To start, I washed my face to remove any dead skin before applying the Tried & True Foundation Duo. I loved the high quality sponge it came with too! I found a little bit goes a long way! Unlike many other brands, this product sunk into my skin and created a velvety texture, and not a cakey one–score!
Next, I used one of my bronzer kabuki brushes and applied the Here Comes the Sun Bronzing Powder to the areas of my face which naturally get sun kissed in the summer. Again, a little goes a LONG way with this stuff!
After the bronzer, I applied a dusting of the Perfect Everyday Blush to the apples of my cheeks.
When it came to my eyes, I applied 1 coat of Lush Mascara to uncurled eye lashes. Next time, I will definitely curl my lashes before hand because that typically helps make them stand out more. I finished with some shimmer white eye shadow, black gel liner, and some pink coral lipstick.
Together, I think this look is VERY natural, pretty, and feminine. I didn’t feel over done for a day of errands, or work either. My skin loved Victoria Jackson Makeup and I felt as if I could breathe in it. The fact that it felt lightweight and natural was huge because many products on the market are perfumey, heavy, and not as sheer as I prefer.
