One of my biggest challenges in life happens to be managing my weight. Having been a fit person for more than half my life I know what it is like to be healthy and happy with my body. Sadly, like many, getting married then having kids had me packing on tons of weight. I lost it, gained it back, and am now pretty hungry and not so happy with my body.
But, I want that to change, I actually need that to change.
Overtime I have realized that my issue was not so much overeating, but eating bad choices at the wrong times. Trying to pack in an ice cream sundae or whole bag of chips at night is not so fun. It is as if my healthy lunch and dinner have to desperately craving bad food.
After taking the POPSUGAR Snack ID quiz I quickly learned that I am a Break Room Binger. The funny thing is, I cannot deny a word of this! I truthfully always have the best of intentions with healthy eating and then stuff hits the fan and I cave to the bad goodies..ALL of the bad goodies.
I have tried drinking plenty of water, tea, and fasting. Now, I am giving another product a shot that is made to suppress your appetite. The product is called Meta Appetite Control and it works with your body to help you feel less hungry between meals* and comes in three flavors: Orange Zest, Unflavored Smoothie Enhancer, and Pink Lemonade Quench. We received the Orange Zest to try and I immediately thought it would be perfect for a smoothie.

Around here we love our fruit smoothies so I decided to concoct this Curb Hunger Tropical Fruit Smoothie. Smoothies are super versatile in that they can be made with milk, or without, with ice, yogurt, and any fruits. Dietary fiber supplements like Meta Appetite Control can also be added in for an extra boost as it contains the super fiber called psyllium fiber.
Meta Appetite Control contains 100% natural psyllium which thickens and forms a gel in your digestive system, slowing absorption and digestion, which aids in the sensation of fullness.
Pineapple, orange, and mango are also loaded with good for you nutrition, and go well together. With the addition of the Meta Appetite Control the shake was thick and satisfying. Best of all, it did keep me full and out of the pantry until my next meal. I am actually very optimistic about this product and hope it can continue to work for my body.
1/3 cup diced mango, pineapple, and 2 orange wedges (skin on)
1/2 cup of ice
1 cup of milk
1 serving of Meta Appetite Control (2 teaspoons)
Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth. This is a thick smoothie. I recommend drinking it right away since the acid and cream will separate if kept still too long.
