DIY Woof Dog Treat Jar
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of The J.M. Smucker Company. The opinions and text are all mine.
When it comes to my little dog Beasley, I always try my hardest to buy her only the highest quality foods and treats. I admit, we will often try different food and treat recipes to see which she enjoys best. Right now my little picky and laid back Chiweenie is loving Milk-Bone Farmer’s Medley Whole Grain Recipe with Chicken Biscuits which are a high-quality dog treat available at Walmart.
The relationship I have with my dog is super unique. She is my right-hand little lady who will lay by my side all day. It is so funny because she is almost cat-like in that she is so mellow, and calm. The only time my half Chihuahua and half dachshund “chiweenie” mixed beauty gets rambunctious is when we have company. It is then that not only her but my kids act up. Like clock-work, all my kids (even my fur baby) turn into hyper, attention-seeking acrobats whenever we have guests.
As you would reward a child with a surprise for a good deed, or behavior, the same goes for my dog. When she is good, and listens, she gets rewarded with a tasty Whole Grain Recipe with Chicken Biscuits treat.
Her process for accepting her treats is always the same and quite hilarious.
She will sniff it, walk away, come back a few minutes later, bring it back to her crate, and bury it under her dog bed for later enjoyment. Maybe it was her days at the rescue that have her so protective of her treats, but at this point, it is hilarious and expected.
Since we are moving soon, to a place with lots more space, I wanted to make a stylish dog treat jar to display in Beasley’s soon to be nook of the house. My dog may not bark much, but when she does, she has the loudest woof ever so her jar appropriately says “WOOF”.
Here is how I made this DIY Woof Dog Treat Jar:
- 1 large mason jar
- 1 package of clear black paw print stickers
- 1 package of letters
- Milk-Bone Farmer’s Medley Whole Grain Recipe with Chicken Biscuits
Wash and dry your mason jar. If there is a sticker on the outside carefully scrape it free.
Adhere the letters to spell out WOOF.
Apply the tiny paw prints all around to create a clean, and cute look.
Fill the treat jar with some adorable, bone-shaped Milk-Bone Farmer’s Medley treats, and voila, you have the cutest dog treat jar that literally takes 5 minutes or less to put together.
