Spring may not be here just yet, but I already have spring fever and am dreaming of warmer day, birds and butterflies. That is what inspired me to turn create these easy Butterfly Sugar Cookies which truly are ready in minutes thanks to Rolled & Ready Sugar Cookies by Nestle Toll House.
Honestly, I cannot even tell you all how many times I have actually lost on on jobs because I am not a “cookie” person. I can make a killer chocolate chip cookie, or even shortbread cookie, but decorative cookies–forget it! I have this awesome sugar cookie recipe that produces the tastiest cookies, but (and this is a huge but) I can never get them into pretty cutouts.
Let’s just say, I have had pumpkins, trees, snowman, stars, and even eggs cookie cut outs expand, and pretty much look nothing like the cookie cutters! It is pretty embarrassing when even my kids have no idea what the cookies were suppose to be! I just do not have the knack for getting that dough perfectly chilled and “workable”.
Often times I *wished* Nestle Toll House had sugar cookies which I could just cut out myself. I guess I didn’t look too hard because they actually do and they are called Rolled & Ready Sugar Cookies. Basically, you can find them in the refrigerated isle at places like Walmart. They are very reasonably priced and will save you tons of stress and time—trust me on that one!!
When I purchased my Rolled & Ready Sugar Cookies by Nestle Toll House, I knew I wanted to make butterfly cookies, and decorate them with some lovely SweetWorks candies. I knew the Pearls and Sixlets would look great and bring some sparkling color to my cookies.
