Can you believe that today is already December 21st? Not only is it the first day of winter, and shortest day of the year but it means that Christmas is just days away. I really cannot even begin to comprehend this because the days are just flying by! Can somebody please hit the pause or slow motion button? Thankfully, I did manage to wrap a majority of my gifts and implement an Eco-Friendly Kid’s Wrapping Paper Idea with my girls.
You see, my kids are officially out of school and are looking for ways to keeps busy and partake in the holiday festivities. We started wrapping family member gifts that they had picked out, and then we realized we were missing somebody. Oh.the.horror! how could I forget an add-on gift for my very own sister? Thankfully, Walmart had me taken care of in that department!
Are you a procrastinator and last-minute shopper like many others? If so, head to Walmart folks! I can’t make any promises with the whole crazed crowd thing, but I can assure you that they have some awesome last-minute gift sets for all the lovely people on your wish lists. From Dove Men + Care sets to AXE, and Caress Sets-they have so many options to choose from that are awesome, and reasonably priced!
My sister is sporty and like to smell so the AXE Anarchy For Her Grooming Holiday Gift Pack with Toiletry Bag is perfect for her! At just under $15 it was perfect to attached to her card and other gift. I usually like to add a fun gift in with a sentimental one. I am sure she will love it as much as I do..wink, wink!
As far as the gift wrapping idea which I am featuring, my kids wanted to doodle and create some fun holiday-inspired artwork on the brown wrapping paper. Not only is this paper an eco-friendly gift wrapping choice, but it can also be recycled unlike printed gift wrap. you could recreate it with brown paper bags, but I used the Kraft paper roll (also found at Walmart) which will wrap a lot of gifts.
Supplies to decorate the DIY Kid’s gift wrap include markers, and stamps.
My daughter took a while to create these little holly berry designs but it adds to the thought behind the gifting process. I helped my daughter create the brown paper gift wrap bow by cutting the Kraft paper into 3/4″ by 12 inche strips.
We used about 10 strips and basically just looped and layered them with the help of a stapler. To hide the middle staples, I taped on a smaller loop. To finish, my daughter added some cheery dots.
Easy peasy, and perfect for adding that special touch of love to each gift.
So, what last-minute gift set(s) do you want to pick up from Walmart? Will you choose the AXE® Apollo Holiday Gift Pack, Dove® Deep Moisture Gift Bag, Dove Men + Care Extra Fresh Gift Pack, or Caress Debussy? There are just too many great choices to choose from!
That is a really cute idea. I am sure my two would love to do this 🙂
That paper looks great! I’ll have to show this to my sister for next year. She loves wrapping with stuff like that.
I think it’s a kind of a fun idea to do the brown wrapping paper with drawings on it. It’s more personal and it’s creative and fun.
My mother an I used to make our own wrapping paper for homemade gifts. We’d use brown paper bags, newspapers, and stamps. I always loved wrapping things in the comics.
That looks wonderful. I love this paper because it has a lovely old school feel and it’s good for the environment. You can’t beat that.
This paper looks very festive and easy to make. And it is a great way to use up paper products.
What a cute idea for wrapping a gift. It’s a great way to help the environment and make a gift special with the personalization.
What a really great and cute idea. I’d never think to do this for wrapping but it works and looks lovely!
I would love the Dove® Deep Moisture Gift Bag for myself! I may as well pick up the Dove Men + Care Extra Fresh Gift Pack for my husband while I’m at it. Great last minute gift ideas!
I love the eco-friendly kid’s wrapping paper idea. My three would love to help wrap and decorate the gift paper to give it that extra special touch!
My kids love to wrap their gifts for Christmas!! I love the idea of letting them do stamps to decorate the paper.
Really cute idea for gift rapping. And it’s super cute too.
Wow, that looks amazing. I love this idea. The Axe gift set looks awesome too!
I think it looks awesome! I should have my kids wrap some presents like this. It’s festive and perfect.
This is a fantastic way to wrap gifts. I am going to use up the rest of last years paper and then do this. It is so creative.
I love this idea! i did not wrap any of our gifts yet. I am going to do this instead.
What a brilliant idea! You get like 5x the amount of paper with the brown craft roll than you would in a whole pack of Christmas wrap! This not only saves $$ but is fun too!
What a sweet way to celebrate the holidays. I need to try to make our own wrapping paper!
I think it’s so interesting that Axe has a women’s line. I think that gift set is fabulous for the active lady on your list!
