Fall Cleanup Made Easy with STIHL Yard Tools
Thank you STIHL for sponsoring this post. All views expressed are my own. #WomenofSTIHL
One year ago I had the pleasure of visiting the STIHL USA campus in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was such an empowering and memorable experience that I really enjoyed and will forever cherish! I got to use an array of STIHL gas & battery powered outdoor tools and even learned how to assemble a chainsaw chain. I did things that I once relied on my husband for and realized that lawn & yard work could be fun!
During our trip, we spoke & learned from experts in the power tool scene. They helped us to learn and had such patience with our many questions. By the time we left, we had the confidence to take on our lawns and yards like pros!
This brings me to today’s post which is all about Fall Cleanup and how the STIHL outdoor power tools I received are making it easier on me!
STIHL sent me 3 key items to make my outdoor maintenance and cleanup easier on me. Each tool is the perfect size for my yard and comfort level.
Here are the STIHL products for easy yard cleanup I received:
- BGA 100 blower
- Extra AP 300 battery
- MSA 160 C-BQ chainsaw 12” bar
- FSA 65 string trimmer
- PPE Equipment & accessories
Since STIHL only sells their products unboxed at authorized dealers, we visited our local Precision Saw & Mower Service in Warwick, RI. There, I received a refresher on the product lineup I was sent.
You may recall we featured the STIHL BGA 100 Blower in our Spring feature, but it is actually another must-have for the Fall. Actually, all 3 products we received have come in handy!
The BGA 100 Blower has effortlessly helped us to blow the pears and leaves out of our driveway (yes, I said pears) each morning! Don’t let the fact that this blower is battery powered fool you! It is actually stronger than the plug-in model we used to use. It is also lightweight which is perfect for my shoulders and arms!
Since we have been getting more rain this Fall than during our spring, the grass is still in full growth mode. That means the weeds are also growing like nuts! We have a wood fence line where our mower cannot get too. BUT, the FSA 65 string trimmer is getting the job done! The battery is long-lasting and has allowed us to keep our property lines clean, and neat. Our old model cannot keep a candle lit to this!
The bonus part is I can actually change out the string because I learned that at STIHL! It is not even hard at all which is amazing!! My husband was impressed when I proved my skill to him!
My favorite “toy” I received from STIHL has been the MSA 160 C-BQ chainsaw 12” bar.
No, I have not been watching too many scary movies! I just love cutting through medium-sized logs with my personal protection equipment on–of course!
This battery powered chainsaw is small but mighty. While it cannot do some of the larger tasks we now have on our plate thanks to all the storms, it has made small branch & log cleanup easy.
I love how this chainsaw cuts through wood like butter. It is actually quite impressive! I really feel like every homeowner should have one to responsibly use–especially during storm season!
Overall, I am loving how STIHL outdoor power tools are making the start of Fall more tolerable. I do love the fall season so much and I am happy that I can maintain my yard on days when my husband might not be able too.

***My husband is supposed to be piecing together some clips we took of each thing for a little compilation vid. I am going to try to get some more tree & leaf pics too after this storm.
