Our Trip to Festival of Lights at Edaville USA
“We received complementary/discounted tickets in exchange for our thoughts. Thanks Edaville!”
Last Saturday, our family and a few guests headed to Festival of Lights at Edaville USA in South Carver, Massachusetts. After exploring Thomas Land (this past Summer) and all the other amazing attractions this expanding amusement park had to offer, we couldn’t wait to get back and visit! On our last train ride we couldn’t help but notice all the un-lit Christmas lights throughout the park and were excitedly awaiting the Festival of Lights attraction.
Then summer turned into fall, and soon to be winter. Isn’t it funny how the seasons just fly by when you are adult? Pretty soon Christmas will be here too!
If you are like our family and love the holiday season, you MUST visit Edaville USA to check out the Festival of Lights or maybe even Polar Express. You will be amazed and is awe of the thousands, upon thousands of lights that turn the park into a true winter wonderland.
The park opens at 4pm- 9pm on weekdays and 3 pm-9:30 on weekends. All the rides and attractions (with the exceptions of Dinoland) are open and in working order too. There is lots of fun to have, but you must be dressed super warm because it gets dark quickly and chillier! There is a small in-door sectional where Cranberry World is located but it is more for little kids.
The beauty of Festival of Lights is that the entire park is literally lit up with gorgeous Christmas lights, there is Christmas music playing, and Santa himself is there.
He walks around earlier in the day for the VIP guests, and returns to his cozy indoor space for pictures the rest of the time.
Hot cocoa, popcorn, and other park foods are also available for guests and are reasonably priced.
During Festival of Lights, the Edaville Railroad Train Ride is providing rides every 30 minutes. The nightly tour is beautiful because you go through such a scenic, beautifully lit trail that has animated light displays, little lit up house displays and more! The train ride is open to all and there is even a real-life conductor ready to punch your ticket.
My kids LOVED our trip so much!
We cannot wait to see what Edaville has in store for the next few years!
They are actively expanding through 2017! It looks like they have a water ride going up too among other attractions.
Festival of Lights at Edaville USA is open to the public through January 1st 2016. Tickets are $29 for Festival of Lights for regular admission or $26 for Seniors. Polar Express tickets are $47 and there is an option for Santa VIP for $44 during this season. *See site for tickets and more details.
