GE reveal® Light bulb Review *Before & After Images
There is nothing worse than a dimly lit, or overly bright room. Unfortunately, before receiving my GE reveal® light bulbs, I was a repeat offender of both lighting issues. I had purchased some really cheap cfl energy saving bulbs at a discount store, and I thought I was getting a deal. Well, the saying goes true that you “get what you pay for”. My home felt like an overly bright green house, so I decided to spend a little more money on another brand. Unfortunately, those took what felt like 5 minutes to even get bright! Even at a supposed 45 watt equivalency they still did my dining room very little justice.
Thankfully, the folks at GE have created a new light bulb product called GE reveal®. These new light bulbs use 28% less energy verses their incandescent counter parts. The ones I received for review also provide lighting which is equivalent to a 75 watt incandescent bulb, but they only use 53 watts per bulb. The average energy cost to use these bulbs in your home is $6.38 per year.
I have top admit, these bulbs actually do in fact use more energy than I’d like. I am much more used to bulbs that use under 25 watts. However, it is very difficult to put those swirly cfl energy saving light bulbs in bathroom vanity fixtures, lamps, and even chandeliers. They just do not look right, and totally throw off one’s decorative scheme.
The GE reveal® light bulbs are are energy saving bulbs that look beautiful in fixtures, and lamps. They produce a clean, and beautiful light that makes my home feel more inviting. Since I take a ton of pictures in my home, it is great to have better lighting. My camera can only go so far when it is dark, and dim out. These bulbs have truly helped to improve my images, and my entire home’s feel.
Overall, I would definitely recommend GE reveal® bulbs to anyone who wants a better lit home. Get rid of the bright yellow, or poorly lit corners of your home, and get some of these bulbs. My before and after images were not edited at all (besides file size, and watermarking), and clearly show the major difference these bulbs can produce for one’s home. I love them, and would certainly purchase them in the future on Amazon, or Home Depot where you can get Up to 50% OFF Interior Lighting!
