I had a family member over and we enjoyed the movie Book Club, which is now available on iTunes, with the goodies we were sent to help promote the post.
Download the film on iTunes and make plans to watch it at home this weekend. The release includes hilarious bonus content, like the making of the film, deleted scenes, and more.
If you have not seen this hilarious comedy, let’s just say you are going to want to watch it! This movie had me cracking up and was exactly what I needed after a tolling week.
I grew up watching the shows and movies that starred Mary Steenburgen (hello, Edward Scissorhands, and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape), Diane Keaton (The Godfather), Jane Fonda (Monster in Law) and Candice Bergen (Murphy Brown).
Of course, this is just a sampling of projects these lovely ladies starred in but those were some of my faves.
However, I just might have to add Book Club to my top five now that I have enjoyed it! If you have watched the 50 Shades movies or read the books, then this movie is perfect for you!!
It follows 4 women who get together to start a book club that turns into so much more! In the film, the women get together to discuss the latest book they’re reading but end up talking about so much more. Supporting, encouraging, and enjoying each other.
I love the laughs, and support these ladies had for each other which helped me to realize that you are never too old to achieve some life goals…some of which I cannot even discuss here..haha.
Check out the Book Club movie trailer below! It is just a peak into how hilarious this movie truly is!
A little about the film:
Diane (Diane Keaton) is recently widowed after 40 years of marriage. Vivian (Jane Fonda) enjoys her men with no strings attached. Sharon (Candice Bergen) is still working through a decades-old divorce. Carol’s (Mary Steenburgen) marriage is in a slump after 35 years.
Four lifelong friends have their lives turned upside down to hilarious ends when their book club tackles the infamous Fifty Shades of Grey. From discovering new romance to rekindling old flames, they inspire each other to make their next chapter the best chapter
I was inspired by the ladies in the film to create a cocktail that fit into my lifestyle and was light and crisp for a weekend movie night.
Since I have an abundance of fresh basil & mint, I decided that a Garden-Fresh Mint Basil And Lime Mojito was in order
Get the recipe below which is easy and keto-friendly in moderation.
It pairs well with chocolate, and salty snacks like popcorn, pretzels or chips. I enjoyed mine sans the snacks and opted for some cheese cubes.
Book Club is now available to download on iTunes. You can purchase the Blu-ray on August 28th!
