Nancy Jane Vertical Gardening Self Watering 12″ Stacking Planters Review
Planting in pots is a great way to dress up your property or grow houseplants indoors. If you lack the outdoor space to grow a lot of vegetables in your yard, you can opt for growing from pots or containers. When it comes to growing vegetables or large crops outdoors, you are going to need the right size pots, and a lot of them for practical yields. Therefore, for small spaces or urban gardens, vertical gardening is a great option.
I recently got to try a set of Nancy Jane Vertical Gardening Self Watering 12″ Stacking Planters. The Nancy Jane Stacking Planters are made for people who want to get a lot out of a small space. The innovative shape of the stacking planter allows you to grow three plants per layer. Therefore, with the included three layers, that means you can grow 9 plants within a 12 inch footprint! The planters can be stacked up to 9 layers high for a really stunning display of flowers, herbs, vegetables, or whatever you desire. For the record, that would equal a tower of 27 plants! Needless to say, the whole concept and design of the Nancy Jane Stacking Planters is awesome and inspiring.
The stacking planters are self watering, so you never have to worry about over watering. They have a water reservoir located in the bottom of each planter that supplies water to the plant roots when its needed. In addition, when the water reservoir reaches above a certain level, the excess water drains into the planter below, and so on. This system works great for this type of setup, because the top layer always receives the most water. Once filled to capacity, the excess water drains down and supplies the following tiers.
Another great feature about the Nancy Jane Vertical Gardening Self Watering 12″ Stacking Planters is they come with a hanging system. If desired, the included chains can be assembled to the stacking planters to turn them into a really unique and beautiful hanging planter. Loaded with different types of flowers or creeping plants, this would be a stunning addition to your front porch or entry way.
Quality wise, the planter is built very well. Its made from UV protected polypropylene, so it’s made to last many seasons in any type of climate. The walls are thick and sturdy, and once stacked, hold up without threatening to tip over.
I can honestly say that I really dig the Nancy Jane Vertical Gardening Self Watering 12″ Stacking Planters. They look great in my yard, and are built to last many more years. Check them out at www.gardensupplyinc.com.
