Now that we have moved to the country, ticks on our dog have become a regular thing. In fact, we recently found 2 engorged ticks on our fur baby that looked like black beans. It was pretty horrifying, to say the least and had us running to Walmart to pick up some PetArmor Plus Flea & Tick for dogs 4-22 lbs. Let’s just say this opportunity to work with PetArmor couldn’t have come at a better time.
Truthfully, I am one of those people who will always try the most natural remedy for something first before turning to more conventional methods. I was trying a homemade concoction of essentials oils to stave off ticks and fleas, but apparently, it was more like tick bate. My poor dog has countless ticks stuck in her fur and needed a more reliable treatment. We have had great results by using PetArmor products in the past, so we were eager to give this product a shot.
Since the spring has sprung, I decided to not only give Beasley a bath (she only has one once a month because she has dry skin) but we also got her a new bedding, and a new blanket. We wanted her to have a fresh start.
Plus, there is nothing like a fluffy little fresh dog running around the house–am I right?
After shampooing our little drama queen ((she hates the bath)) we fluffed her up, and Jared gave her her first PetArmor treatment.
After carefully reading the package instructions (always do this before administering) we cut the tube to one applicator and carefully applied it to the back of her neck as directed. Each tube has a small amount of chemical so make sure your dog is calm before administering. A lavender dog beth helped Beasley as much as it could to calm, and refresh her.
Once the drops have been administered, your dog can go about his/her day and enjoy the outdoors without the worry of becoming infested with fleas and ticks. While our dog has NEVER had fleas, we can say that this product has worked for 2 weeks already to keep her tick free. PetArmor Plus can be used for protection, prevention and/or treatment of fleas and ticks so even if your dog already has a flea infestation, this product can help kill them and prevent reinfestation when used as directed. This fast-acting, waterproof formula helps break the flea life cycle by killing flea eggs and larvae for up to 12 weeks as well as kills ticks that may transmit Lyme disease.
Beasley is about 12 lbs and has had no reactions. Of course, every dog varies so please consult with a vet if you have any questions about this product. It is ONLY for use on dogs 4-22 lbs that are at least 8 weeks of age. Do not use this formulation on cats or any other domestic animals. PetArmor does make 4 different PetArmor Plus products for dogs of all sizes. They also have a cat-specific product too available at Walmart.
