I admit, Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. Sure, I LOVE Christmas to pieces, but there’s just something so fun about Halloween that really channels my inner child. My home typically gets decorated around the first week of September with pumpkins, ghosts, and cute ghouls. I try to save the super scary stuff for the haunted houses–here we are all about the cuter side of Halloween.
This year, we have already been costume shopping but nothing has really peaked our interest yet. I just know that one daughter wants to be something cute and frilly and the other something scary.
For now, we are all about the fun Halloween family movies and the Halloween sweet treats. This Halloween Bark really was something we wanted to recreate this year. You might recall, a few years ago we made this Green Spooky Halloween Candy Bark that was a hit! This year, we wanted to marble our bark with two different colors and add Halloween Oreos–just because we needed an excuse to eat these yummy cookies. We chose orange and yellow candy melts at the craft store.
I love making candy bark because it is so easy and requires such a small time commitment. In minutes, I have a fun treat that my kids love to help make and eat!
This candy bark is great for Halloween classroom parties for kids to make, parties, weekend/weeknight projects and more!
Candy Bark Tips:
Use quality orange melting candy.
Add the toppings rather quickly because candy melts harden quicker than chocolate.
Do not get your candy melts wet or the candy will seize and get clumpy.
