Easy Stovetop Queso Blanco with No Jalapeños!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Mission®. All opinions are entirely my own.
It is finally starting to feel like early summer around here in New England. Now that we have temps in the 90’s, all I want to do was sit outside and soak up the sun. You have no idea (or maybe you do) how much I wanted to skip making dinner and just lounge outside with some good drinks and appetizers.
Speaking of July, Fourth of July is right around the corner and already next month! It seems a little strange to already be saying this, but who is ready for Fourth of July appetizers? I know I cannot wait to grill some goodies and enjoy the outdoors with the company of my family. I love summertime parties and foods like Mission® Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips, and Mission® Strips Tortilla Chips are perfect for family fun!
My kids and husband LOVE Mission Tortilla Chips. In fact, we always have a bag or two on hand because they are our chip of choice–especially for entertaining! The Mission Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips and Mission Strips Tortilla Chips can be found in stores nationally but you can find a store near you by using the store locator on the Mission Chips website. They are the perfect size for dipping into my Easy Stovetop Queso Blanco with No Jalapeños. I love that these Mission Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips are thin enough to enjoy the flavor, but sturdy enough to dip into my queso blanco. They also happen to be gluten-free!
I am not big on really thick chips because I sometimes feel they can overpower the dip itself. Both of the Mission varieties are lightly seasoned with sea salt, which is one of only four simple ingredients, and are just plain delicious!
As I mentioned, no Fourth of July celebration is complete without some good food! Typically, we tend to grill the traditional burgers, chicken wings, hot dogs, and corn for the holiday.
We tend to put a lot of effort into no-bake desserts, and easy appetizers that can be made ahead of time.
This Easy Stovetop Queso Blanco with No Jalapeños can even be made ahead of time. Plus, they can be enjoyed with both Mission Strips and Thin & Crispy Tortilla Chips.
It will turn back into a more solid state after it cools, but can be melted back down on the stovetop on a low simmer, or in the microwave.
In fact, I actually like it better the next day because the flavors really meld together well.
For the Fourth of July, I add some festive flair to my patio with some patriotic pillows, some red, white, and blue cups, napkins, and plates.
There is also a bucket with ice and some cold drinks to enjoy with these tasty Mission tortilla chips & queso dip.
Little decorative items around the deck give it a fun feel. At night, we sit around the fire pit and enjoy a good drink and maybe s’mores.
