Short Cut Blueberry Lemonade Slushie & Two Great Summer Beverage Options!
“This post is sponsored by LunchBox. All views and opinions expressed are that of our own.” #NeverEndingSummer
Now that the weather is heating up, I noticed my family is getting super thirsty! After a while, water gets a little boring after the umpteenth cup. Thankfully, we love diversity around here so drink mixes like Kool-Aid and Country Time Lemonade are favorites ( and have been for years)! I still remember being the *official* “Kool-Aid drink maker” when I was a kid. I would always accidentally spill the powder over the gallon edges-ooops!
Now, things are super simplified thanks to Kool-Aid Easy Mix Liquid and Country Time Lemonade Starter. These convenient products allow consumers to make as little as an 8 ounce cup of Country Time Lemonade or Kool-Aid and as much as a 2 quart pitcher. All you have to do is squeeze, measure, and pour out the concentrated liquid into your cup or pitcher–easy peasy.
After a harsh winter stuck inside, it is so nice to be able to head outdoors and enjoy the 70 degree weather. Days like these often have me heading indoors for some shade, and some icy refreshments. Easy to make frozen drinks like my Short Cut Blueberry Lemonade Slushie are quick and take minutes to prepare. I normally would use Country Time Lemonade Powder, but now the Country Time Lemonade Starter streamlines things even quicker!
Want to make this icy, and very much refreshing beverage for your family, or maybe even yourself?
Here is what you’ll need: *makes one serving, but can be also made into pitcher size
- 1 1/2 cups of ice cubes
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of Country Time Lemonade Starter
- 2 1/4 inch slices of lemon
- Small handful of blueberries *can be made without
Blend ice, Lemonade Starter, and 1 lemon slice in blender until crushed
Pour into your cup, and squeeze a few blueberries over the top, and garish with a few additional berries
Enjoy immediately with a straw or spoon!
The beauty of this shortcut slushie is that you can also use the Kool-Aid Easy Liquid Mix too! My dad used to make these for us when we were kids and we loved them so much! They were such a low calorie treat that my kids can now enjoy!
