Slow Cooker Bread Pudding Recipe~Super Moist & Delicious!
My husband is such a bread pudding enthusiast. We make it at least 2 times per month in our home, and it never seems to last more than a day. Since I am part of a slow cooker challenge, I figured I’d try making one of our favorite desserts in there. the question was would it taste good, and would it bake right? After 3.5 hours of slow cooking our delicious treat was ready for enjoying.
nine slices of bread-we used honey wheat, but you can use whichever you prefer
5 eggs slightly beaten
3 1/2 cups of milk
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter
2 boxes of raisins
Pull apart your bread into small chunks
In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients, and mix well
Grease your slow cooker with butter, or nonstick cooking spray
Cook on low for 2 hours, and then turn up the heat to high for 1.5 hours.
During the last 1/2 hour of cooking creak your slow cooker lid halfway to allow for the excess moisture to escape.
I hope you enjoy your slow cooker bread pudding!
