Slow Cooker French Onion Soup Pork Chops
Bone-in pork chops made with french onion soup in the slow cooker. These are tender and flavorful.
This slow cooker challenge that I am participating in really has me looking for new out of the box recipes. I was browsing my new favorite inspirational site, Pinterest for some new ideas. I panned on making slow cooker pork chops with cream of mushroom soup, but guess what? I only had french onion soup…in comes my genius idea-Why not make slow cooker french onion soup pork chops?
French onion soup is the only soup I really love so I gave it a go. This was a total “by chance recipe”, but it turned out to be finger licking good! Everyone loved them!
4 large bone in chops-if your family is larger you could would need a bigger crockpot, or I would suggest using boneless smaller chops. I think you could easily fit 6 of them.
1 can of Progresso french onion soup
1 large sweet onion
spices-salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder
Pan sear, and spice your pork chops, and whole chopped onion in a large frying pan with oil-I used coconut, but you can use what type you prefer
Dump the soup into the crock pot
Add your chops to the crock pot
Cook for around 4 hours on low-our bones pretty much fell out-next time I am using boneless!
