Who doesn’t love a nice, relaxing game day? I know we sure do because it typically means a time of relaxation and good food. There could be a blizzard outside, but as long as I pick up the ingredients I need for game day snacking at Shaws all is good. Today’s featured recipes are from Knorr® & Lipton® brands.
I really love this Southwest Chipotle Chili & Sangria Mocktail recipes because they make game day tasty and fun for all ages. My husband is a chili fanatic so this spin on a classic from Knorr is really loaded with flavor. My kids and I love fruity drinks so this sangria “fruit tea” is amazing and easy. You all know I love EASY recipes that any level cook can complete!
I picked up all my ingredients for these recipes for around $20 at my local Shaws. Right now, they have an awesome Save $5 when you spend $15 on any Unilever products deal. Lipton and Knorr products are part of this deal, so I stocked up to get my valuable savings!
When it comes to this Southwest Chipotle Chili it is mega tasty thanks to the Chorizo and hamburger meat combination.
Paired with fresh chili seasoning, veggies, and the Knorr® Fiesta Sides™ – Spanish Rice, you have the perfect game day meal.
Eat it with a spoon or with some plain tortillas for a tasty meal.

It was quite the fruit concoction which uses citrus fruits like lemon, lime, and orange.
I added some fresh cranberries in because I had some on hand. I never thought to add grape juice, Lipton Tea and seltzer together, but I am glad I came across this recipe.
Now, all ages can get in on the bubbly fruity fun on game day.

Southwest Chipotle Chili & a Sangria Mocktail
Ingredients
- 1 link chorizo sausage quartered 1/2 inch thick
- 12 ounces lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1/2 tsp chipotle chili powder
- 1 can no salt added black beans drained & rinsed
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 package Knorr® Fiesta Sides™ - Spanish Rice
- 2 plum tomatoes chopped
Sangria Tea Mocktail
- 3 cups boiling water
- 5 Lipton® standard sized tea bags
- 2 cups grape juice *Can use no-sugar variety as well
- 1 1/2 cups chilled club soda
- 1 whole lime sliced
- 1 whole lemon sliced
- 1 whole orange sliced
Instructions
Southwest Chipotle Chili
- Cook chorizo in a large stock pot over medium heat for 5 mins. Add ground beef and chopped onion to same stockpot and cook over medium-high heat until beef is browned; about 5 minutes. Stir in chili powder, beans, corn, and water Add in Knorr® Fiesta Sides™ - Spanish Rice; reduce heat and simmer covered until rice is tender, for about 7-10 minutes. Stir in tomatoes. Allow chili to sit for 5 mins before serving. *Optional: Serve with cheese, sour cream, avocado, or tortillas
Sangria Tea
- Sangria Tea Bring water to a roaring boil, and then turn off heat. Allow tea bags to steep for 3 mins Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and chill for 3 hours Serve with extra fruit for garnishment if desired.
I love this sangria mocktail. Since our family doesn’t really drink, it’s nice to have fun mocktails for parties.
