Weight Watchers Friendly Slow Cooker Apples & Raisins
Sometimes being on a diet really stinks when you think of all the sweet treats that you feel like you are missing out on. Even though I can eat anything on Weight Watchers I don’t exactly want to pig out. I love apple pie, and really wanted to make a sweet weight watchers friendly version that would taste similar to apple pie without the fat and crust. Here is the tweaked creation that I came up with. According to the recipe builder it is 7pp per serving.
8-10 apples peeled, and cored
1/2 cup apple juice
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter (you can lower your points if you use fat-free margarine, but I am not a fan)
2 boxes of raisins
cinnamon-sprinkle to your tastes
1 teaspoon nutmeg
Wash, peel, and core your apples
Put them in to your slow cooker
Dice your butter into little pieces, disperse on the top of the apples
Add all the other ingredients
Set your slow cooker to low heat for 3 hours-if you keep them on too long they will turn into apple sauce
*I enjoyed these Weight Watchers Friendly Slow Cooker Apples & Raisins with fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt. I felt like I was eating apple pie without all the calories!! Super yummy, and delicious!
