Why You Should Visit Festival of Lights at Edaville USA

This past weekend our family headed to Edaville USA for our annual Festival of Lights visit. This year we were especially blessed to be a part of the Edaville USA VIP Blogger Program. Since Edaville USA is only about 30 minutes from our home, we spend a lot of time there throughout the year. It is a favorite past time for our family because it is conveniently located in Carver, MA.
Festival of Lights is such a memorable experience and New England tradition. There are a whopping 17 million lights illuminating the park.
I found it amazing that the entire park is carefully decorated for Christmas. As you stroll the park, classic Christmas carols softly play in the background.
Despite the sometimes frigid temps, all the rides at Edaville’s Festival of Lights are functioning with the exception of the Dino Land attraction which closes after Halloween.
I suggest dressing in layers, and wearing hats, and mittens to stay warm. The park does have a small coffee shop that is fully functional and serves coffee, lattes, hot chocolate, and more. Also, if you’re looking to shelter from the cold but still have fun, Edaville offers tons of indoor activities – like the Softplay area!
You can even stop into the gift shops in each section of the park that are heated and loaded with fun gifts and park memorabilia.
My kid’s got to enjoy the very magical Santa VIP experience which they loved. Santa and his elves graced us with their presence and presents!
It was magical how personable Santa was with each of my three children, and he even gifted them little whistles, and a paper ornament craft.
Despite the fact that it is sold out this year, I suggest keeping this VIP upgrade in mind for next season.
As the sun set, the amusement park literally twinkled at every site. It really is incredible to see all the lights in action.
It is as if you stepped right off the train into a magical Christmas wonderland.
You cannot help but be cheery even if you are a little frozen from the weather.
Edaville USA’s Festival of Lights is sponsored by Hood® Eggnog this year, and we even got to check out their awesome Snow Globe photo opp, and sample all the many Hood® Egg Nog samples.
