Gluten Free French Toast Made with Almond Milk
Servings: 10 slices
- 10 slices gluten free bread
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups almond milk I prefer Almond Breeze Unsweetened
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup real maple syrup for serving
Heat up a large frying pan or skillet to medium heat. Allow one tablespoon of coconut oil to melt (or butter) if dairy is ok.
In a large bowl, mix the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract
Dip your bread slices into the mixture and make sure both sides are coated.
Line pan with battered slices and cook for about 3-5 minutes per side or until golden brown.
Repeat, and use your extra butter/oil for the next 5 slices
