20 Minute Apple Pie Turnovers
20 Minute Apple Pie Turnovers are made with buttery and easy to work with crescent roll dough and a quickly sauteed apple. This recipe is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even a fall dessert.

- 1 Granny Smith Apple chopped into small chunks
- 8 oz crescent dough
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cornstarch
Icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk *You may need another tbsp.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees f.
Add you apples, butter, and spices to your stock put and stir for about 3 minutes over medium-high heat.
Add in your cornstarch to thicken up the filling and stir well. Once, it gets thick and caramel-like remove from heat.
Prepare your baking sheet with your 8 crescent rolls spread into triangles.
Add a little filling to each center of these rolls, and then fold, and tuck them.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Allow apple turnovers to cool for 15 minutes before icing.
Icing
Mix together the ingredients, and allow the icing to set for 10 minutes. This thickens it so it is not too runny when icing your apple turnovers.
Use a fork dipped in the icing to swizzle each pastry.
