Classic New England Clam Strip Roll at Home

Tender, Crunchy Gorton's Clam Strips baked to a perfection and stuffed into a buttered soft roll. This classic roll is a New England Summer staple and features homemade tartar sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce
  • 2 boxes Gorton's Clam Strips

Tartar Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1 tablespoon sweet relish
  • black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder
  • 1 small sprig of dill

Instructions

Clam Strip Rolls

  • Prepare clam strips according to the package. On a griddle melt butter and toast each bun side for 2-3 mins until it gets a golden brown color Add lettuce to the center of each bun Stuff each with warm clam strips.

Tartar Sauce

  • In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients, and then add to your clam strip rolls.
