Patriotic Root Beer Floats Recipe

Root Beer Floats are a Summer staple. Made with vanilla ice cream and topped with fresh whipped cream and a frosted rim these floats are perfect for summer fun.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Root Beer
  • 2 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 3 cups ice cubes
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 3 tbsps sprinkles patriotic style
  • 5 tbsps vanilla frosting
  • 5 maraschino cherries

Instructions

  • Brush on Vanilla icing onto 5 cups rims. 
  • Dip rims into sprinkles. 
  • Add ice cubes evenly to glasses. 
  • Pour soda into each cup. 
  • Top with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream. 
  • Add whipped cream to each.
  • Top with extra sprinkles and a cherry. 

Notes

Vanilla rim & sprinkles are optional. 
Prepare these right before serving.
Paper straws make a fun addition.
