Game Day Pizza Dip

This dish is everything you love about pizza, without all the carbs. Plus, it's easy to customize based on your favorite toppings. Whether you're in the mood for something cheesy and saucy, or crispy and meaty, this easy, cheesy dip is for you.

Equipment

  • Oven - adjusted to the center rack position
  • Baking dish - you will need at least a 2-quart, oven-safe dish.
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • garlic press - a garlic press extracts the most flavor from the cloves.
  • Hand mixer

Ingredients

  • 13 ounces Mission® Tortilla Chips for serving
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup pizza sauce divided
  • ounces pepperoni slices divided
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 4 ounces sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic pressed
  • teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • cups mozzarella shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease the baking dish with the olive oil.
  • Spread half cup of pizza sauce into the bottom of the greased dish.
  • Dice 2 ounces of the pepperoni and set aside.
  • Add softened cream cheese, sour cream, ground black pepper, and pizza spice to a large mixing bowl.
  • Add in half the mozzarella cheese, and the diced pepperoni; mix. Spread mixture over pizza sauce in the dish.
  • Pour remaining sauce over the cheese mixture. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top and remaining whole pepperoni slices. Garnish with additional Italian seasoning if desired.
  • Bake for 5-10 minutes until the top of the dip is melty and bubbly. If you want crisp pepperoni, broil for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Allow dip to rest for 5 minutes before enjoying warm with Mission® Tortilla Chips.
