How to Make Crispy, Oven Fried Chicken
Who doesn’t love a good fried chicken meal? Unless you are a vegetarian, or vegan then chances are you too might enjoy some of this crispy and flavorful goodness. I love fried chicken but I must admit that I am petrified to actually fry anything in my house. I have had way too many fire scares, and I do not like that fried food smell that tends to linger. These are just a few reasons why I was motivated to make some crispy, oven fried chicken for my family.
Before I spill the secret to getting the most crispiest skin ever on my oven fried chicken I have to say this recipe was almost a fluke. You see, I love cooking with real butter and am not a huge fan of margarine. I will use it extremely occasionally if I have it in the house from a gig, but it is not something I advocate or love.

So here is how I made Crispy, Oven Fried Chicken:
- 1 large package of assorted chicken pieces with skin
- 1 bottle of spray margarine (I used I Can’t Believe it is Not Butter)
- Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, Paprika, sea salt *To taste
- Baking dish
Place assorted chicken pieces (skin-on thighs & breast work best)
Coat them generously with margarine. You want to make sure every possible inch is covered
Sprinkle with spices to you liking. I am spice heavy to I tend to give quite a few generous shakes on each piece
Bake for 1 hour covered at 300 and then 1 hour uncovered at 350
Chicken will look like this picture and be golden brown, and have a super crunchy skin, and totally moist inner.
This chicken was sooo darn amazing, and I am sure it must be a little better for you verses its deep fried counterparts.

a 2 hr cook time?
how about brushing with melted margarine??
