Looking for an easy pumpkin protein shake recipe for fall? I love adding pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice to a vanilla protein shake for a cozy twist! This version uses almond milk, flaxseed, honey, and ice, and it comes together in the blender.

When I first started making protein shakes, I spent a lot of time looking for a vanilla protein powder I actually liked. I wanted a plant-based option, and I ended up choosing Orgain. You can use your favorite brand for this recipe!

When the opportunity to blog about Orgain came about, I was excited because it was a product I enjoyed using! I had already been mixing my morning shakes with fruits, veggies, kefir, and even pumpkin. Why not add some pumpkin-spice flair to a vanilla shake? That is how this pumpkin protein shake became one of my favorite fall variations!
Looks great huh? I love that this pumpkin protein shake is easy and actually feels like a treat!
Pumpkin Protein Shake Ingredients
Just a handful of ingredients, and you can make this delicious fall shake right at home!
- 1 scoop of Orgain Vanilla Protein Powder or your fave brand
- 1 tablespoon of pumpkin puree
- 1 tablespoon of raw honey *add more if you want
- 1 teaspoon of ground, organic flax seed
- 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
- 8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk
- About 8 ice cubes
How to Make a Pumpkin Protein Shake
Add all the ingredients to a blender (I love my Blendtec!) and blend until smooth. Taste your shake before pouring it into a glass. If you want more pumpkin flavor, add a little more puree, or drizzle in a bit more honey if you like it sweeter. Give it another quick blend and enjoy!
Tip: Use plain pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. Any vanilla protein powder you enjoy can work here, but the flavor and nutrition will vary by brand.
