A quick snack, or meal that can be easily made by kids! Plus, see how you can get free books for your child! This post is sponsored by Kellogg’s. All views expressed are that of our own.
Does your child love to read? I know my oldest just really started to get passionate about reading this past year. She used to think it was such a chore to have to read and would often moan and groan at the thought. Then, one day she found that one book that engulfed her and had her hooked. Suffice to say, she read the entire book in one day. That book was from the original Babysitters Club book series—the very same series that captured my interest over 20 years ago.
Now, the Babysitters Club books are back and more engaging than ever! They are based on the novels by Ann M. Martin but are now revamped into graphic novels!
And guess what? You can get a couple of these titles FREE this summer thanks to Kellogg’s and Scholastic Books!
Oh, but it gets even better because Dollar General is celebrating 25 years of their Dollar General Literacy Foundation, of which Kellogg’s is a proud partner. This year, Kellogg’s will be offering 3 for $6 mix and match deals on select Kellogg’s® products like Eggo® Homestyle Waffles & Kellogg’s® Frosted Flakes®!
You can also download this $1 coupon exclusive to Dollar General, making the offer 3 for $5!!! I don’t know about you, but that makes me super excited!! I love a good deal on food that my kids and family already love! Dollar General never lets me down here! With the summer in full swing, my kids have been going through not only books, but food and snacks!
You see, our local library has a contest for reading which rewards our kids for every 15 minutes of reading they do. Now my kids are all in competition to see who can read the most books!
Apparently, reading also makes my three super hungry! They are always looking for their next snack! That is what inspired me to make these Easy 5-Minute Berries, Yogurt, & Cereal-Topped Waffles. They feature fresh strawberries, blueberries, and vanilla yogurt topped on a lightly toasted  Kellogg’s® Eggo® Homestyle Waffles. They take just 5 minutes to make and little ones really love them!
I picked up some Kellogg’s® Frosted Flakes® at Dollar General along with some Eggo Waffles.
As you can see, they have the special Buy a Box, Get a Book information on them. To redeem your box for one free Scholastic book (limited titles *while supplies last), simply head on over to the site and upload your receipt participating Kellogg’s products. It is easy as that! There is a limit of 10 books per household, and this promo ends on 9/30 or while supplies last.
We are most likely going to score the max number of books possible since my kids love the participating Kellogg’s brands!

Fruit on waffles is the best! I can’t say that I’ve tried Frosted Flakes on waffles but it kind of does sound yummy.
