Berry Delicious Cereal Milkshake
“We are Malt-o-Meal Ambassadors. All views expressed are that of our own.”
Who doesn’t love a refreshing treat like ice cream, or a cool milkshake in the warm summer months? I raise both of my hands up because I just love the creaminess of a good ice cream treat to enjoy in the warm sunshine. For me personally, milkshakes are a favorite staple in our home because they are easy to make, and drink! I do not have to worry about melted cones, or the messes that kids can make with traditional frozen desserts.
Ahh, who am I kidding? My kids can make a mess with a single piece of paper, I guess the saying where there is a will, there is a way stands true. However, the way their little eyes lit up when they each saw a Berry Delicious Cereal Milkshake on their table spots was enough to make it worth the fun!
Have you ever tried a milkshake made with cereal? Oh my gosh is it good! Actually, it is way TOO good! I used this month’s featured flavor of Malt-o-Meal cereal which happens to be Berry Colossal Crunch® ( can be purchased at Walmart) and it really couldn’t have been any more perfect. I wanted these to be extra pretty so I even whipped up a batch of fresh whipped cream, added some vanilla frosting to the outside of the cups, and rimmed them with extra crushed cereal. It was such a delightfully delicious summer treat!
Plus it required like 6 ingredients or so, and no cooking? Not bad at all!
Here is what you will need to recreate this Berry Delicious Cereal Milkshake:
*makes 4 servings*
- 1 cup of whole Berry Colossal Crunch® & 1/2 cup crushed
- 1/4 cup Vanilla Frosting
- 3 cups Whole Milk
- 4 large scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream
Real Whipped Cream Frosting:
- 8 ounces of heavy cream
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cherries to top
Directions:
In a stand mixer, add your powdered sugar, heavy cream, and extract, beat for 4-5 minutes or until firm peaks form in your whipped cream.
Rim your cups with vanilla frosting, and dip the rims into your crushed cereal
In a blender (on ice cream or smoothie mode) mix your ice cream, milk, a 1 cup of whole cereal until thick and creamy.
Fill each cup with milkshake, and then top with a dollop of real whipped creamed, some crushed Berry Colossal Crunch® and a cherry.
As you can see, this is a don’t miss summer treat that is sure to brighten someone you loves day!
