Chicken Tostadas made with chicken nuggets are a kid-friendly meal or snack idea that can be ready pretty quickly. Made with child-friendly ingredients, these are a hit with the kids and adults alike and are a creative use of chicken nuggets.
I can officially say that next month my 3 kiddos head back to school. So far, summer vacation has been fun and eventful. We had our annual family road trip vacation, and the kids enjoyed camp. But I am ready for some structure and school time for my kids.
As I have mentioned before, my kids do not use their in-school stomachs at home during summer break. They are constantly hungry and looking for their next meal.
We have tried quite a few new recipes this summer to hopefully expand their back to school dinner menu. Right now, my kids are in the picky stage. I really never thought this stage would come but it is pretty terrible.
However, there are some foods they will eat. Pancakes, pork chops, mac & cheese, grilled cheese, and chicken nuggets still get the green light from them.
But, if I dare try to buy off-brand nuggets, my kids call me out on it and will snub dinner. They will not eat nuggets with dark meat and ONLY want Tyson® Chicken Nuggets baked until crispy on both sides.
You can find Tyson Chicken Nuggets in the frozen aisle near the other frozen chicken products. These nuggets feature crave-worthy flavor, and are made with chicken raised with no antibiotics ever.
These protein-packed meal starters and snacks are also available in Tyson® Chicken Strips and Tyson® Any’tizers® Chicken Fries. My kids love all 3 with some ketchup or honey mustard sauce.
Thankfully, Tyson Chicken Nuggets are sold pretty much everywhere I shop here. I purchased these at my local Price Rite supermarket along with everything I needed to make these Chicken Tostadas.
Kid-Friendly Chicken Tostadas
Since my kids are picky, I have to make meals based around foods they love. Tyson Chicken Nuggets get the green light from them, so I typically add them to pasta dishes, tacos, and now tostadas.
Based on my kids love of cheese, chicken nuggets, & honey mustard, these tostadas were born. My kids typically enjoy “simple” tostadas so I knew with the right non-spicy flavors, they would love these toasted chicken creations.
This kid-friendly meal has all the flavors my kids love in one fun to eat pizza-like form. If your kids love tacos & pizza, then they would enjoy a tostada!
