Decorating my home for the holiday is something I love for. There is nothing more relaxing and inspiring to me that watching my home transform for each holiday. In fact, this year we have many Christmas Tree looks that are farmhouse inspired. You can check them out below and shop the look.
The best part of decorating a bedroom for Christmas is there is no right or wrong way to do it. You can mix and match pieces from around the home that you might not want to feature in a main room.
For my idea, I wanted a classic look that intertwined my love for evergreens, Santa, and Buffalo Plaid.
How I made transformed my bedroom for Christmas
Bedding
I found this Flannel Plaid Comforter set from Target and knew I wanted to create my style around the warm and cozy look. I have a California King Sized bed so I sometimes have a hard time finding comforters that fit okay. This one doesn’t have too much overhang on each side and could benefit from a bed skirt.
These King Holiday Print Buffalo Plaid Sheets were just $30 and super pretty for a matchy, matchy feel. You can find them at Target as well!
The Lodge Deer Throw on the bed is from Dream Home and was $16.99 from TJ Maxx. I tried to find it online, but it looks like it is an in-store purchase only now.
My black and white pillows are simply pillow stuffing tucked inside these super cheap Burlap Farmhouse Pillow Covers. The Believe pillow is by Rae Dunn, as well as the other pictured.
Walls
I had the large, lighted Santa Believe wall art canvas my mom gave me to hang. While it wasn’t a fit for my main level living theme, it was perfect for my bedroom. It really ties in the Christmasy look and adds some holiday cheer to the overall feel.
Tabletop
For the end table style, I have some Threshold Tabletop trees which are from last year’s Target look. They have slightly changed this year, but are still super pretty although lighter in color.
The Santa Mug from Rae Dunn adds a cozy touch and sits nearby a star tabletop piece, and some Target Buffalo Plaid fabric baskets. These are last years look, but you can find their year’s look linked above.
Inside the plaid basket is a Black & White Buffalo plaid throw from Hobby Lobby. It is just $10 on sale (regularly $20!)
Christmas Tree
In the corner of my room I have a Wondershop Unlit New Growth Balsam Fir Tree. This tree is very sparse in branches, but has a charming “Charlie Brown Tree” type of feel. I decorated it with Rae Dunn Ceramic Ornaments in classic ball shapes with buffalo plaid ribbon. I also used Silver and Black Wondershop Buffalo Plaid tree bows.
Lastly, a pair of Deerfoam slippers are waiting for early mornings. I really love Deerfoam Slippers because they are so well made. Plus, they are cozy and nicely padded.
Overall, I really love how cozy my room looks and feels. It was not much of an out of pocket cost to makeover my bedroom for the holiday season. Be creative and use what you have! That extra wall hanging, throw, or pillow could become this year’s focal points for your cozy bedroom style.
