You all know I can always appreciate a good sale and coupon to pair it with. That is why I genuinely enjoy my weekly Saturday trip to my Seekonk store. I love that you can use store and manufacturer coupons to save BIG.

Additionally some stores participate in the DGGO which is an app that you can check out by yourself and keep your cart calculated to stay on budget.
Dollar General app
Lately, I am finding that my biggest savings are coming from the Dollar General app. The app is so easy to use and is free to download from the ios and Android store.
Once you download the app, simply create an account and then browse the app to find your weekly add, and digital coupons. To add a DG Digital Coupon to your account, simply clip it virtually and it will be added to your clipped coupons area.
To redeem your digital coupon savings, simply add your phone number at checkout. By using the Dollar General app, you can also earn DG Rewards every time you enter your phone number at checkout. These rewards are a great way to earn high-value savings on some of your favorite brands.
Dollar General coupons
Every Saturday, DG app members can find a valuable $5/$25 purchase coupon in their apps which they can load to their accounts. This is why I love shopping there on this day to maximize savings.
There is also another high-value $5 coupon which you can save BIG on! Score $5/$15 stationary purchase. You will need to spend $40 pre-tax and discounts to combine both. However, that should be easy given the fact that Dollar General has so much finds!
Dollar General teacher discount
Did you know that Dollar General has a teacher’s landing page that is now LIVE? Starting July 26th, teachers can also save 20% when they show their school badge at checkout. Stock up on hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, classroom decor, pencils, pens, and organizational materials.
Our fave back to school finds
Here are some of our favorite back to school finds we picked up at our local DG store. We will still need more supplies but will reevaluate once the school year gets closer.
My kids really love the Clover Valley Grape Jelly.
Snacks/pantry staples
Peanut butter, jelly, and apple sauce are items we go through a lot around here. Between snacking and baking we always need a continuous supply of each. I love how low the everyday prices are for these staples at Dollar General. The Clover Valley brand is exclusive to Dollar General and tastes just as good as the name brands.
These Lance Crackers were just $1 each and provides plenty of lunchbox smiles.
My kids drink plenty of water, but they do love an occasional Kool-Aid pouch. These were BOGO free when I purchased them and often go on sale!
Dollar General also has cold cuts, Lunchables, eggs, sandwich bread, and chips for easy lunchtimes.
School/office supplies
Did you know that Dollar General has their own office product brand called Office Hub? This brand is less expensive than name brands but is comparable in quality.
You can also find name brand office and school supplies at Dollar General for great prices. We picked up some notebooks, a DG Office binder, pens, Office Hub Glue sticks, and tape. My kids go through so much of this stuff!
The inexpensive $5 and $10 backpacks are also a hit with my kids! I love how we were able to get my youngest daughter a new set for just $10! My son also scored his character lunchbox for just $6!
Safety items
Dollar General has designer masks, regular masks, hand sanitizer, hand wipes, gloves, and tissues. They also have disinfectant products like wipes and sprays to keep germs at bay.
