We have loved Heluva Good! Dip for years. I remember one day as a kid asking my mom if I was allowed to say the name of it...haha! That is how long I have been a fan! The French Onion flavor is my favorite!
You can find Heluva Good! Dip in the dairy aisle of your neighborhood supermarkets in flavors like French Onion, Buttermilk Ranch, and Bacon Horseradish. They would be perfect for Halloween entertaining! Just pick up some chips and veggies to use as dipping mediums.
Best Halloween Party Snack Idea
I am sure we can all agree that Halloween baked goods and recipes are amazing, but sometimes you just do not have the time to whip them up. However, there is an easy fix that any hostess can quickly produce–A Halloween Snack Tray!
Halloween Snack Tray Additions
For this tray, I literally used a galvanized metal serving tray and made it spooky with some spider web paper liners. Then, I started to add all the good stuff. One of my favorite parts are the spooky dragon eggs. I will explain how to make these below (it’s so easy).
I tried to mix and match sweet and savory snacking options that would pair well with the Heluva Good! Dip. As you can see, I added an olive spider to jazz the French Onion Dip up–because, it is Halloween after all.
The mini cauldrons and dishes were fun added effects that my kiddos love. Here are the other spooky, themed snacks I included.
- cheese balls
- orange & black tortillas
- carrot sticks
- dragon eggs (see below)
- gummy candies (brains, fingers, eyes)
- chocolate skeletons
- cheese sticks
- popcorn munch
- little crackers
- zombie pops
How to Make Dragon Eggs
To make dragon eggs, simply boil your eggs in a small stockpot for 20 minutes. Once they are done, rinse them with cold water.
Then, once cooled, gently roll them to crack the shells. Repeat until they are all rolled and gently cracked.
Return eggs to pan, and add enough water to cover the top of the eggs.
Add 6-9 drops of your favorite food dye color and allow them to sit for 5 minutes.
Once done, wear gloves to peel them and rinse. Enjoy! Keep them in the fridge until ready to serve.
As you can see, the possibilities of making Halloween snack boards are endless! I was just happy that this took me less than 30 minutes to put together.
If you are looking for easy Halloween entertaining ideas, be sure to pick up some Heluva Good! Dip as the main star and build your snacking around that!

I love a good dip. I want to try the jalapeno cheddar one. Some of their dips here in Canada are different. Those dragon eggs are cool.
