We recently got to try some absolutely delicious butter from the Finlandia brand. You may recognize the name because they have some of the best Swiss cheese EVER! I know I have been buying it for years so I was so eager to try their all new butter. I even went to four stores trying to locate this foil wrapped gem and finally found it at Shaw’s Supermarket.
Boy, was that running around worth every bite!
Ok so, you are probably wondering why I am so excited about something as simple as butter; right? Well, the truth is, this is unlike any butter I have ever tried before! This imported butter is sooo darn good that you will even want to eat it by itself–no joke! I LOVE a good slice of buttered toast, but I love a buttered muffin even more so that is why I whipped up a batch of easy Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Muffins to go with my Finlandia Butter.
Wow, were they delicious by themselves or with a nice pad of Finladia Salted Butter. They sweet and savory element was spot on and made this an awesome breakfast or snack choice!
Wondering what makes Finlandia Butter so special? The answer is simple, this is the “real deal” all natural butter. There are ZERO GMOs or hormones added to this rich and tasty product. The proof is in the taste, and quality of this naturally bright yellow butter.
You can even enjoy this family farmed Finlandia Butter in your coffee! Yep, that’s right..enjoy a “bulletproof coffee” with this velvety butter! I have not tried it *yet* but you bet your buns I will be soon!
As mentioned, Finlandia Butter was the perfect complement to my light and fluffy whole wheat chocolate chip muffins. Here is what you will need to make these muffins. I normally use unbleached flour, but I hosted a Mom’s Meet Bob’s Red Mill party and had an abundance of their delicious baking staples to work with.
- 2 cups of Bob’s Red Mill Organic Whole Wheat Flour
- 2/3 Cup Bob’s Red Mill Organic Cane Sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 5 teaspoons of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
Line a 12 count muffin tin with cupcake liners
In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients and then mix in the liquid ingredients; mix well, and then fold in the chocolate chips.
Fill muffins cups 2/3 of the way
Bake for 15-18 minutes at 350. Use the toothpick test in the center of the muffin to gauge if they are done.
Once out of the oven, slice them in half and enjoy them with some yummy Finlandia Butter.
