How to Put Together An Epic Dog Gift Basket

The holiday season is in full swing! Have you made your holiday shopping list and checked it twice? You might have checked off the kids, and in-laws, but did you remember little Fido? Dogs make families complete so don’t forget to get your little pup a little something special! This Epic Dog Gift Basket should give you some fun ideas on what your pooch might want to see under the tree this year!
Our little rescue dog Beasley has been with us for 4 years. She was an abused dog-the runt of her litter who did not get all the brains. She was quite a bit of work when we first adopted her and was probably the only dog who actually peed on her bedding! It was stressful at times and took a lot of patience, but Ms. Beasley is finally doing much better.
While she still does have her occasional accidents, Beasley has become part of our family. She loves to play with the kids, take long naps in her crate, and explore our new back yard. She has a bark bigger than her bite could ever be and loves to chew through pencils and kid’s toys.
Little Beasley is pretty much my furry companion for life so she does deserve some extra loving! Just wait until she receives her very own pet couch from my Mother in Law–haha, she will surely be loving that with some of her soon to be new holiday gifts!
If you are looking to make an epic dog gift basket, you are going to want to find a deep, large-sized basket. I have a few options on hand, but I went with a good-sized wicker one.
To add some festive cheer, I added a plaid napkin to the inside, and some of the red basket filler. Ok, so Beasley might not care about those two parts, but I wanted this to look really pretty under the tree!
Inside her basket (some of this stuff is going to be wrapped on the side because I went too crazy) she will have some of her favorite doggie treats.
Pretty much all of these items came from Walmart. They had the best prices on these goods that I couldn’t resist buying them!
First up is Pup-Peroni, Original Beef Flavor, 25oz. Sure, they do make smaller sizes of this meaty dog treat, but Beasley loves to enjoy them daily. She was a good little pooch this year so she gets the jumbo size!
Real beef is the #1 ingredient in these dog treats. With more real beef* and a mouthwatering aroma it’s no wonder dogs simply can’t resist Pup-Peroni Original Beef Flavor dog snacks. Don’t forget to take a package along so you can treat your Pup wherever you pal around!

Next up, Milk-Bone Flavor Snacks in the 7 lb. box. Ok, so this box is jumbo and won’t fit in the basket per-say, but I just couldn’t help myself in buying this larger size! I am thinking Beasley can be a nice little pup and share with her fur cousins!
Our dog just loves to bury these treats around the house and pull them out at later times to enjoy them alone. Made in Buffalo New York, these treats feature the same teeth cleaning and vitamin-enriched goodness of Milk-Bone Original biscuits in five delicious flavors your dog will love.
Additional Epic Dog Gift Basket filler ideas:
Our dog’s favorite soft/specialty foods.
A doggie sweater – ok, so I might like that a bit more than she does!
Some squeak toys so she can leave the kids toys alone.
A dental chew bone that should last her a while.
A new doggie bed for her crate.
Other options I might pick up include:
A flannel blanket
Retractable leash
Pet brush
Bath soap
What would you include in your dog’s gift basket?

I think of my dog saw this gift she would never want to come back to me. These are fun gifts and I think the dogs deserve gifts as much as humans at Christmas. This is a great idea.
