Halloween Orange Soda Cake is made with Orange Fanta and is really simply to make! Made with one box of white cake mix and orange soda is all it takes to make this fun easy Halloween Cake.
Now that Halloween is officially two weeks away, how have you been enjoying this spooky season? I know my family has been having fun playing in the fall leaves, decorating pumpkins, and making Halloween themed snacks.
We recently made a very unique cake that was made with none other than Fanta Orange Soda. The Orange Soda Halloween Cake was such a delicious and festive snack that my family almost ate it entirely in one sitting!
Fanta Sodas come in several different flavors like Grape, and also Cherry and each of these flavors can be used in conjunction with boxed cake mix!
For my Halloween snack, I was looking for something a little different and unique. I have heard from a family member that you can literally mix one boy of cake mix with 12 ounces or Orange Fanta and it will produce a great cake.
Items Needed to Make Orange Soda Cake
- 1 Box of your favorite white cake mix
- 12 ounce can or cup of orange soda
How to Make Orange Soda Cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
Add cake mix into a mixing bowl.
Pour in soda and whisk until combined. Mixture will be fizzy.
Pour batter into a greased bundt cake pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes (much less for cupcakes-15-18 mins), or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Easy peasy huh?
I admit, I was a wee bit skeptical at first because the cake and soda mixture was so foamy. I added it to a greased silicone bundt pan, and then baked it for 30 minutes.
The delicious creation just those two main ingredients produced was beyond awesome. Our cake was very springy, and has a light and fluffy texture.
You could definitely tell there was a slight texture difference but it was certainly a positive one! I made some homemade icing for it using some confectioners sugar, and Fanta Orange Soda–so good!

Ooh, I love Fanta- drinking it straight is too much so baking with it is perfect- we always have Dasani bottles on hand when entertaining too! Sometimes it’s nice to refresh after all the party snacks and sweets!
