This past summer our family adopted the cutest little white and peach colored cat. She was so friendly in the shelter and kept on high-fiving me through the cage. I knew she would be perfect for our family, or so I thought. We named her Milkshake and brought her home.
Our little Milkshake was the perfect cat at first, but she soon became very protective of me. She wouldn’t let me interact with my kids and she started to tease the dog. Eventually, she started attacking my kids for no reason and caused some minor injuries. It was heartbreaking taking her back to the shelter but it had to be done.
Now, we just have one cat in our immediate family and his name is Greyson. He has been my Mom’s companion for 3 years and has kept her on her toes. He is pretty laid back but since he is a senior cat he is set in his ways.
Greyson loves to explore and be nosey.
He loves rubs around his neck and his underbelly.
Treats are his favorite and he will do some dances for them.
This pretty kitty also loves a clean litter box. He is super particular about his litter being fresh, clean, and sifted right after he uses the box.
My Mom might have spoiled him with this, but it works out for them both in the freshness department.
Since my Mom is obsessed with fresh scents, she is always looking for the next best litter. She is a Tidy Cats person but is always willing to try new scents and formulations.

We don’t currently have a cat because my second daughter has allergies but we have a “porch kitty” that lives in the neighbourhood and loves to come visit our porch and get pets. We even bought treats and a toy to play with her with. I think you covered everything that a cat would need.
What a great idea for a cat gift basket. I don’t know what we would do without clumping litter. I remember that the regular stuff was so hard to clean when I was young. I didn’t know there was a spray to deter scratching. I need some of that for my cat.
