Love recipes that you can prep part of it ahead of time. Now if I could only find a way to bake them ahead of time and still keep them warm and crispy!
Josette Sullivan says
I’ve made these several times and freeze them for my husband’s breakfast on the way to work. I found the perfect way to reheat them and still have them come out warm and crispy.
I bake them as directed then let them cool. I wrap them individually in parchment paper and place in zippy bag and freeze.
When I need one I take one from freezer and microwave for 15 seconds, leaving the parchment paper on (It will still be slightly cold to the touch)
Next, again leaving the parchment paper on, I put it in the toaster oven. My oven has a defrost setting that is approximately between 150 and 300 degrees. I leave it in there for about 10 minutes until my husband is ready to leave for work.
They reheat very well and taste just like they were fresh baked!!
