How To Grill Steak Tips & A Marinade RecipeWho wants to learn how to grill steak tips? I decided to share my families’ go to recipe for marinated grilled steak tips today because it is so good and I wish it were grilling weather here. I have wanted to make this recipe for some time but there were two things holding me back. The first was that steak tips are pretty expensive around here, and that my old Worcestershire sauce was not gluten free (for my youngest daughter).
Since Worcestershire Sauce is the main star in my marinated grilled steak tips recipe I was thankful to have Robbie’s Naturals gluten free, and low sodium variety. I love how their variety of sauces are loaded with flavor, but low on chemicals, and no so healthy ingredients.
I usually like to cut up my sirloin steak tips into smaller chunks, and marinate them for at least 2-4 hours–they longer, the better! You can put them in a zippered bag, or glass bowl to marinate in the fridge.
How To Grill Steak Tips:
- 2 lbs+ of sirloin steak tips
- 2 large onions-I actually used a bunch of small ones from my garden, but I gauged them at two large.
- 1 pint cherry, or plum tomatoes
- 1 bell pepper
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt,
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2- 3/4 cup worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Directions:
Cut your sirloin tips into smaller chunks-makes them cook faster, and they are easier to eat
Chop your onion, and pepper
Mince your garlic
Add all the above ingredients to a large zippered bag, or glass bowl, marinate for 2-4 hours+
When you are ready to grill the steak, either place them and the veggies into a grill pan, or remove the veggies, and grill the steak on the grates, and the veggies in a grill pan. You cannot grill the veggies directly on the grates because they will fall through.
Grill your steak tips 3-5 mins for medium rare (internal temp of 135 degrees), or 5-7 minutes for medium (140 internal). For well done, you are on your own as I do not like drying out meat! In all honesty, keep your tips on the grill for 8-10 mins and they are sure to be just like you want them– little flavored pieces of charcoal..haha
