No-Bake Cinnamon Toasters® Cereal Truffles
“We are Malt-0-Meal Ambassadors. All views expressed are that of our own.”
With the summer heat sizzling, now is a great time to think about no-bake desserts for picnics and BBQs. Since I do not have central air in my home, the kitchen is one of the hottest places in my home. While we do have a large window unit, it just does no justice to my favorite area of my home. Reasons like these are why I love dessert recipes like these no-bake Cinnamon Toasters® Cereal Truffles. Made with just 3 ingredients, these truffles are tasty, easy to make, and a HIT with my friends and family.
As a Malt-o-Meal ambassador, it is my job to think up creative, yet easy recipes that can use their value-priced cereals. They have over 30 delicious varieties of their cold cereals, and can be found at stores like Walmart in the cereal aisle. We have not found a flavor we haven’t loved yet! Since this month’s featured flavor is Cinnamon Toasters®, it was a toss between an ice cream or a no-bake truffle. I settled with the truffles (although I am eager to make the ice cream) because I know many of you are looking for easy desserts to bring to summer parties.
If you can spare as little as 15 minutes (or less) you too can make a few batches of these No-Bake Cinnamon Toasters® Cereal Truffles. Plus, if you use white chocolate candy melts, they will harden up rather quickly in the fridge. They are really silky, and the cream cheese, and white chocolate really complement the flavoring of the cereal. They almost remind me of a snickerdoodle in taste.
Here is what you will need to make these No-Bake Cinnamon Toasters® Cereal Truffles:
*Makes 15 truffles- you can double or triple this recipe easily
- 3 cups of Cinnamon Toasters® Cereal crushed plus 2 tablespoons, and 15 whole pieces for presentation
- 1 softened 8 ounce bar of cream cheese
- 1 cup of white chocolate candy melts
- 1 tsp of coconut oil
In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, and crushed cereal until fully combined
Pluck off 1 inch balls of mixture and form into smooth balls for dipping; repeat until finished
Line a baking sheet with wax paper to place your dipped truffles on to harden
Place cereal balls in freezer for a little while to firm up *optional
Temper your chocolate and coconut oil until silky smooth
Remove cereal truffles from the freezer, and dip each one into the melted candy
Place carefully on the baking sheet, and sprinkle with crushed Cinnamon Toasters®, and top with a single piece of cereal for a super cute presentation.
These No-Bake Cinnamon Toasters® Cereal Truffles can also be made with milk chocolate melts, but the white chocolate makes these extra smooth, and ideal for all ages.
